MDR is a farce to disturb and entertain.
Melon, Mardi and Rossinyol face an unexpected conflict. Their untamed and clumsy
nature and the need to exist take them to an improbable show, where they freely
explore any atrocity. This hilarious and terrifying experience transmits the story of a truthful and rough friendship, caused by a sense of responsibility and of guilt.
An improbable crime, a suspicious trial and an absurd punishment.
As a paradox, they might cause the desire to die from laughter.
Los Galindos was created in 1991. The project emerged from a synergy between continuous research and young energy in collective creation. Inspired by the poetry and the fantastic imaginary of the circus, we have developed an artistic project with our own signature. We have been involved in educational and divulgation projects, we have projected our activity internationally with 15 shows created by our company.
We have received several awards, within them we highlight the National Prize of Culture 2016 to our career. And, for MDR, we have received the following awards: Talía Award 2023 to the best circus show, Award Ciutat de Barcelona 2022 of performing arts, Award Teatre Barcelona to the best circus show 2022, Critics Award 2021 to the best circus show, Zirkolika Award Special from the jury 2021 and Audience Award in TAC de Valladolid 2021.
With MDR we go back to the street format with a risky and committed circus show.
