Masacrade is an acrobatic tragic-comedy in 7 acts for 1 mini-flying trapeze, 3 performers, 25 costumes, and a pyromaniac stage manager. It is a hilarious show, humorous yet poignantly deep, that skilfully intertwines high-flying acrobatics and theatrical flair. How to find the meaning of death in order to give meaning to life. Or how to find meaning in life by training yourself to die before you die…
Angèle Guilbaud, Marine Fourteau and Marcel Vidal co-direct the company Marcel et ses Drôles de Femmes, created in 2013 with Liza Lapert on graduating from the Centre National des Arts du Cirque de Châlons-en-Champagne. Their attempt: to reveal, with humour and sensibility, the absurd complexities of human lives that never cease to amaze us, with a raw and impudent circus that questions the senselessness of movement.
