The performance aims to create a provisional community in which the audience, through the choices they are asked to make, questions and engages in dialogue with the others. Through dissent, disobedience to established rules and conflict, it aims to activate a mechanism for reflection on choice, on the fact that what happens is always to some extent the responsibility of the viewer. Through contemporary circus and participatory theatre, Bamboo guides the audience to make choices.
A graduate in accounting, Simone Di Biagio realised that business management and reporting were not for him. He trained at the Scuola Romana di Circo and later at Flic – Scuola di Circo Torino. In addition to his work as a circus artist, he finds inspiration in teaching by observing people, their limitations and their infinite resources to overcome them, their need for community and confrontation with others. Movement and dance characterise his juggling.
