Lecture by Prof. Alessandro Serena

Monday, 16 June – 7:00 pm
Park – Outdoors – Circus Circle
Free admission, no reservation needed

The history of the circus is an epic dotted with memorable characters. Among them are a large number of Italian artists who have determined the success of this art form throughout the world. Antonio Franconi, who made an essential contribution to the spread of the circus in France, is one of the first in a long line of tricolor pioneers.

The Circus Circle is an innovative travelling cultural salon conceived by the Madame Rebiné association in collaboration with the DOCC Documentation for Contemporary Circus. It was created with the aim of reinforcing the dissemination work carried out by the DOCC association in Turin since 2022. A fascinating journey to discover circus through a rich selection of documentary material, thematic exhibitions, lectures, readings and conferences.
